I’ve never tried Romanesco broccoli, but it’s absolutely beautiful. I need to order some seeds!

  3. The Family Duck

    pet duck

When you live on a farm, you frequently become the go-to source for those with pets that have “outgrown” their space. We recently acquired a new pet duck, Quackie, who surprisingly behaves much like a family dog. We have a number of wild ducks on our lake, but never one that was domesticated like Quackie. He’s really a lot of fun, swimming in the lake with the kids (he likes to dive and swim between their legs) and generally following you wherever you go (fully expecting to be allowed in the house).

Ducks = the new family dog?

  4. Amazon Tree Houses

    treehouse

Derek Saunderson, based in Cronberry in Ayrshire, Scotland, started Amazon Tree Houses to “… bring the craft of tree house building back from the accountants and the salesmen, and put it back firmly in the hands of the craftsmen whose passion for tree house building shows in their skill and commitment for creating beautiful and natural structures.”

We’ve been wanting to build a treehouse for quite a while, we need to make the time to do it!

  5. Pencil Sculptures

    pencil sculpture

Artist Jennifer Maestre takes hundreds of pencils, cuts them into 1-inch sections, drills a hole in each section (to turn them into beads), sharpens them all and sews them together to create these visually stunning pencil sculptures. Beautiful!
