Your favorite little girl will twirl her little heart out all summer long in this lovely dress! Available in sizes 4 to 6, the Merrymaker Stencil Dress is based on a vintage majorette dress pattern so cute it literally makes you want to spin.
This sweet little dress is the first in a miniseries of DIY party dresses we’ll be sharing over the next few weeks. We had a ball putting together the easy-to-use patterns, and we’re sure you will, too!
We used Handmade Charlotte stencils for the confetti collar, polka dots on the bodice, and bunting around the skirt. You can pick up the stencils and all of the other supplies you’ll need to make the dress at JoAnn.com.

Let’s rewind thirty years, shall we? I’m auditioning for drama school in London, and one of my future teachers presents me with a big box of marvelous hats. “Pick one, then you have five minutes to prepare a sketch,” I’m told…
As my teacher knew, hats are magical things. You can become anyone you want to be when you put on a new hat. Reinvent yourself and feel transformed, just for that brief moment when you’re wearing something different on your head.
I’m sure you all have or had a dress-up box for your kids at home. We’ve been collecting stuff for years, despite attempts to spring clean, and while princess dresses and superhero capes come and go, our hat box is sacred. I mean, you never know, Mom, really…
Party hats, carnival costumes, accessories to create brilliant disguises–welcome to the Land of Make Believe. I do hope you’ll play along with me.

I recently discovered just how versatile leather is. I started making bags, but I quickly moved on to explore leather jewelry. Without any expectations, I jumped in and came up with a few designs.
You can easily customize this scrap leather necklace with your favorite shapes and colors. Leather comes in so many textures and thicknesses – the possibilities are endless!

Can’t find a local source for leather? No problem! An old leather jacket or bag from a thrift store will do the trick:)

Considering that she’s one of my favorite bloggers, I can’t believe that it’s taken me this long to post about the new Bloesem Wears collection of jewelry by Irene Hoofs. The beautiful & simple jewelry features braids and beads with bold pops of color, made using freshwater pearls, wooden beads, Italian ribbons, cashmere, and cotton threads.
