DIY Bow-Tied Bunny Cake Toppers

What’s cuter than a bunny cake top­per? A bunny cake top­per with a stripey bow tie! These bunny pals will jazz up any sim­ple store-bought dessert, or they’ll add even more sparkle to a spe­cial home­made birth­day cake cov­ered in rain­bow sprin­kles. Plus, come mid April, they’ll be the hit of the Easter dessert table. So many fun uses for a sweet bunny cake topper!

DIY Bow-Tied Bunny Cake Toppers

What You Need

  • Craft paper in fun col­ors (I used pink, striped, and white)
  • Craft cir­cle punches in var­i­ous sizes (I used a 3-inch and 1-inch punch)
  • Scis­sors
  • Glue stick
  • Washi tape or reg­u­lar tape
  • Wooden BBQ sticks
  • A black fine-tip marker
DIY Bow-Tied Bunny Cake Toppers

Step 1
Punch out a large cir­cle for the face, two small cir­cles in a dif­fer­ent color for the cheeks. Cut out two round-tipped long rec­tan­gle shapes for the ears and smaller pieces for the inner ears. Cut out a tiny oval for the nose and two tri­an­gles and a cir­cle for the bow tie.

Step 2
Glue the cheeks and the nose to the large circle.

Step 3
Glue the inner ears to the outer ears.

Step 4
Glue the ears to the face. Add a lit­tle glue to each tri­an­gle point and adhere to the cir­cle to make the bow tie.

Step 5
Using your fine-tip marker, add sim­ple whiskers and two black cir­cles for eyes.

Step 6
Using washi tape in a match­ing color, adhere the face and the bow tie to a wooden BBQ stick.
