DIY Dino Frames for Kids

Here’s a fun decorating project for kids that only takes a bit of cardboard and a few toy dinosaurs. It’s an easy craft to keep kids occupied on a rainy day and has the added bonus of allowing them to create a work of art for their bedroom wall. Decorate and play at the same time!

DIY Dino Frames for Kids

Step 1
Cut the cardboard into a rectangles and circles. Cut out the inside of the rectangle, turning it into a frame.

Step 2
Draw shapes around the frame using a black marker. Be as creative as you like!

Step 3
Place the cardboard frames on the wall using adhesive clay. Do the same with the dinosaurs within the frames. Experiment with the positioning of the dinosaurs to create the most exciting display.

This craft can easily be personalized to your child’s individual interests — try swapping the dinosaurs for toy animals or cars. Happy crafting!

    Ah, I love the whimsical results. It’s so fun. Great idea for cardboard and dino toys! I’m sure any toy would be fun to frame too like zoo or circus toys!

    I. LOVE. This. Idea. Seriously…I may have to go make these for my daughter’s room tomorrow! She loves sharks and it’s so hard to find girly shark themed art work (try impossible), and this would be perfect! She could hang her sharks on the wall!
