The mini kitchen was the perfect solution for our craft studio. Located in the loft of a barn on our property, it’s just far enough away to make it inconvenient to truck it back to the house every time we wanted a cold drink or a cup of coffee.

Shopping List
To make things easier, we put together a printable mini kitchen shopping list. Simply print a copy, hand it off to one of the kitchen planners at your local IKEA store, and you’ll have everything you need for your project.
Here’s a quick checklist of the tools you’ll need:
- Electric screwdriver & screwdriver bits
- Circular saw or fine-toothed handsaw (to cut countertops)
- Jigsaw (to cut hole for sink)
- Hole saw (to drill hole for faucet)
- Spirit level
- Measuring tape
- C-clamps
- Protective glasses
- Pencil

While you’re at IKEA, we highly recommend picking up a FIXA Drill Template ($1.99). If you’ve ever installed cabinets before, you know how much of a pain it is to line up and drill the holes for the handles, knobs, and pulls. It can be done in a matter of seconds with this ingenious tool. Problem solved!
