There are few birds more ridiculous, frivolous, fabulous, and original than the flamingo. Whenever we go to the zoo I end up taking pictures of them, even though I’ve seen them many times. They’re just so absurd, with those legs for miles and fabulous pink plumage.

Maybe we love them because they just don’t care how ridiculous they look. They remind me to just go out there and be as absurd as I want to be. Is that why we like to add them to all of our accessories? And why flamingo lawn ornaments never really go out of style? I hope so, because I love them.
