We’re so excited to celebrate the graduation of our good friend Mattie Griffith! This ambitious young woman is off to college and we want to celebrate her accomplishments with something special from Target’s Back to College Registry. I love registries of all kinds, because you know exactly what the recipient needs, leaving no room for error – and this one is even extra special! The Target College Registry helps to launch grads from their nests with everything they need to spread their wings and fly out into the great big world!

This ambitious grad had quite a year! Crowned Homecoming Queen for starters and ending up on National News for her wisdom teeth War Eagle stint and graduated with honors to top it off! Mattie is gearing up for an exciting year ahead at Jacksonville State! Along with the jitters associated with a year away from home comes the excitement of making your new home your own. The dorm room is an extremely important space, especially during the first year away. It’s a home-away-from-home. A first taste of independence. A place for late-night study sessions, between-class cat naps, and of course for making all new memories with all new friends. As a parent, I know I’m going to want my kiddos to be as comfortable as possible in their new abodes and to be fully prepared for anything that might come their way.

Mattie’s mother is an incredible artist and ensured that Mattie’s grad party had the best decorations! Her party decor was insanely cute! Welcoming guests to the party was an awesome hand lettered sign and of course balloons! Her tables were filled with flowers tucked in mason jars while the buffet table had an awesome ruffle accent.

With the help of Handmade Charlotte and Target, Mattie had the opportunity to create a registry of her own, and to stock it up with everything she needs for the perfect freshman year. First on her list? A mini fridge where she can keep all those coffee drinks for early morning classes. Second was a comfy futon for hanging out, studying, and hosting parties. And she of course couldn’t leave off a set of cute, colorful towels to match her room!

This is such an exciting time for Mattie and we couldn’t be more thrilled to be a part of this bright and shiny new chapter of her life. Let’s join together and send this high achiever into the world with a great big smile and everything she needs to succeed!
