I absolutely love this owl cake by sideways glances. I actually made a version of this cake myself, I’ll upload a few pictures when I get a chance. It’s easy to make & achieve great results.
- Bake your cake in a square baking pan. Once it’s done, round off the bottom of the cake and cut a crescent shape off of the top to make the ears.
- Decorate with chocolate & vanilla icing of your choice, using the above photo as a guide.
- Use shortbread cookies for the eyes, placing a black-eyed pea in the center of each cookie.
- Finish off the cake with a candy corn nose and almond chips for plumage.
