Let’s Give It Our Best Shot

It’s that time of year again. Shot At Life’s Blogust Campaign 2016 is in full swing and we need your help! Every like, share, and comment on this article donates a life-saving vaccine to a child in a developing country. So what are you waiting for? Tell your friends and family! #teamwork! #Blogust

One child dies every 20 seconds from a preventable disease. Vaccines save lives! Yes, while you’re slurping a double caramel mocha – chino, a dozen mothers will experience the loss of a child. An older sibling will lose a playmate and best friend. This is very real and we can 100% make a difference right this second. Let’s Go!

Here’s the plan. You can like, share, and comment as many times as you can throughout the month of August. We’re almost there, thanks to the the influencers who volunteer each year to get the word out. Check out the Blogust calendar of forward-thinking superstars and read along. But most importantly, leave a comment.

Let’s talk about the number 5. Millions of children will never see age 5. They won’t eat a banana split or get the opportunity to read Green Eggs and Ham. They weren’t born in the United States where vaccines are expected and certainly the norm.

Jonathan and I have 5 children ages 16-6. They’re privileged to be living in the USA and have clean water to drink. My kids have all done the Hokey Pokey, dreamed about eating cheese on the moon, and heard about the woman who lived in a shoe. Let’s roll up our sleeves and start clicking. Let’s give others the same opportunity!
