Hardly prac­ti­cal ($50 for a set of these cast crayons), but a cool idea!

    My son is tak­ing jew­elry in high school. For ring-making, they get a piece of spe­cial wax shaped just like this. They carve it, size it, then it goes in a plas­ter mold, which melts the wax and leaves a mold for the metal. It’s so cool.
    You could make these by melt­ing craons if you could fig­ure out a way to bore the fin­ger hole with­out crack­ing the crayon.… hmm… thinking.….
