Recycling Paper to its Original Form for Woodturning

paperwork by hannah lobley

Inspired after leaving a book out in the rain, Hannah Lobley transforms unwanted paper such as catalogs, holiday cards and yellow pages into beautiful, one-of-a-kind objects. The decorative cup and bowl pictured above were actually made from old accounts books! She first creates blocks of wood-like material from the paper, which she then forms using traditional woodworking equipment. Beautiful!
