What You Need

Recreate Your Favorite Curious George Covers Using DIY Monkey Ears!
  • Hot glue gun
  • Felt (pink and tan)
  • Thin white elastic
  • Scissors

How-To

Recreate Your Favorite Curious George Covers Using DIY Monkey Ears!

Step 1
Start by cutting the tan felt into two round ear shapes, with an extended tab on one side as shown.

Step 2
Cut the pink felt into the same shape as the tan, but slightly smaller so when the pink is placed on top, you can see a border of tan felt.

Step 3
Use small dabs of hot glue to attach the pink felt onto the tan felt.

Step 4
Cut the elastic and tie a knot to make a circle. The length of the elastic will depend on the size of the wearer’s head – ours were about 14”.

Step 5
To attach the ears onto the elastic, fold the felt tabs around the elastic and onto the backs of the ears. Secure with hot glue. If you can avoid getting hot glue onto the elastic itself, the ears will be able to slide on the elastic for adjustability later.
