


These gorgeous jute and leather toys were designed by Renate Müller and produced in the late 1960’s for German manufacturer H. Josef Leven. Intended for therapeutic use, they have all sorts of handles and tabs for tugging, wrestling, hugging and riding.

Developed for therapeutic use, this menagerie of animals was used for balance training and orthopedic exercises by mentally and physically handicapped children. The toys debuted at the Leipzip Trade Fair in 1967 and continued annually. Each year Müller added new personalities to the collection.
