Artek Baby High Chair

Ben af Schul­ten designed this won­der­ful high chair for Alvar Aalto’s Artek in 1965. Schul­ten served as the artis­tic direc­tor for Artek from 1976 to 2004.

The exam­ple pic­tured above sold at Wright’s July 2010 Mass Mod­ern auc­tion for $125.

    Wow! I love this high chair. Occa­sion­ally, I’ll see one in an inte­ri­ors mag­a­zine and I’ll won­der its origin.

    Thanks for shar­ing that. $125 isn’t much for some­thing so beau­ti­ful. Unfor­tu­nately for the baby in my house, she wouldn’t be allowed to sit in it!
