Weaving is having a major resurgence right now and I’ve been itching to try my hand at it! While my daughter and I have some time together over the holidays, I’m thinking we’ll have some weaving fun. From jewelry to furniture to wall decor, I’ve gathered up some incredible woven projects to inspire your inner dream weaver.

It’s amazing the variety you can find when it comes to weaving. You don’t even need a loom! Just a hula hoop, some cardboard, or even a forked stick from your backyard will do. Plus, what better way to use up all those scraps of yarn and fabric from past projects or to upcycle festive ribbons from holiday gifts?

I just love the look of these branch weaving projects! Kids can find their favorite stick, and with some quick wrapping, turn it into a beautiful natural piece of art for their wall. Of course, we big kids can do it too.

I admit this may be more of a summer project. But it might take some time to finish, so if we start now, we’ll have it done in time for Spring! For those who enjoy the outdoors all year long, use woven chairs to jazz up your patio or relax in them while you roast marshmallows around the firepit. Heck, use them inside! These chairs are just too lovely to hide.

What a beautiful use for natural wool roving. Of course you could create this tree with other materials, too. And if you can’t find a bendy stick, an extra embroidery hoop will work perfectly. There are so many possibilities!
