5 Super Sweet Keurig Recipes for Mother’s Day

Hazelnut Mocha Milkshake Keurig K-Cup Recipe #LiveLoveBrew

May is almost upon us and that means that we are all racking our brains trying to think of a special way to show our moms how much we love them.

This year, I wanted to do something extra special for my mom. I consulted the coffee experts over at Keurig and they knew just the thing! I’m going to make her one-of-a kind creations using Keurig’s new 2.0 Brewing System. The best part about the 2.0 is it’s the first Keurig to brew a four-cup carafe and a single cup. My littles and I had so much fun dreaming up all sorts of crazy recipes combining the different K-Cup Pods in our stash. In fact, there are over 400 different beverage varieties from 60 plus brands available within the 2.0 system! They have all sorts of favorite brands including Folgers, Maxwell House, Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, Snapple and more. With a few taps of the finger, we were on our way to creating some of the best beverages the world has ever tasted!

Just like mom, each recipe is unique and special in its own way. Some are warm and perfect for cuddling up with a blanket and her favorite book, while others are ice cold and refreshing, ready to be enjoyed out on a sunny patio. I’m extra lucky in that I got to use the Keurig 2.0, which turns out, makes the perfect gift for moms this Mother’s Day. (Psst, we have a special coupon code for our readers! Use HMCHARLOTTE at Keurig for 30% off brewers and beverages through May 30th. It’s only available to the first 200 people, so hop on over)!

We can’t wait to hear which one is your favorite! No matter which one you like best, they’re always best shared with mom.

Raspberry Lemonade Keurig K-Cup Recipe #LiveLoveBrew

When life gives you lemons and an incredible mom, make her a Raspberry Lemonade! Pop in a fun straw (or a tea stirrer if you’re feeling official!) and serve it to her by the pool, on the deck, or as a fun twist on afternoon tea. Throw on some oversized floppy hats and make it a fun day in the sun!

What You Need

Brew both as directed and mix equal parts. Garnish with fresh raspberries and a cute straw.

Donut Shop Mocha Keurig K-Cup Recipe #LiveLoveBrew

This one is a big ol’ bear hug in a mug. It’s the perfect way to combine the mom’s (or at least this mom’s) two favorite things: coffee and chocolate! How about serving this alongside banana pancakes for a special Mother’s Day breakfast-in-bed? Or having a warm cup waiting for her on the counter when she comes down to the kitchen? Moms + mochas + mornings = magic!

What You Need

Brew as directed and mix equal parts! Garnish with whip cream, cocoa powder and a square of dark chocolate.

Hazelnut Mocha Milkshake Keurig K-Cup Recipe #LiveLoveBrew

Ok, now that you have the recipe for a sweet start to Mother’s Day, here’s one for dessert! And boy is it simple. All you have to do is mix a K-Cup Pod of Swiss Miss hot cocoa (see a chocolatey trend here?!) with a K-Cup Pod of hazelnut coffee. (Make it decaf if it’s late!) Top it off with whip cream and a dusting of cocoa powder to round out the best Mother’s Day ever!

What You Need

Brew both K-Cup Pods as directed and let them cool to room temperature. Toss the first five ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. Garnish with cocoa powder and chocolate syrup.

Arnold Palmer Keurig K-Cup Recipe #LiveLoveBrew

Living in the South, sweet tea pretty much runs through my veins. And nothing says summertime (or brings back sweet childhood memories) quite like a tall glass of lemonade. Combine those two classics and you’ve got what’s called an Arnold Palmer! Named after one of my favorite golfers of all time, it’s one of my favorite drinks of all time. And I’ll bet you an Arnold Palmer that with just one sip, it will become a household favorite of yours as well!

What You Need

Brew both K-Cup Pods as directed and mix equal parts. Garnish with a lemon!

Caramel Apple Chai Tea Keurig K-Cup Recipe #LiveLoveBrew

I can’t be the only one who thinks that caramel apples are just about best thing in the world! Don’t they remind you of fun times hopping all around the fair with friends as a kid? Even as an adult, I hopped almost 12 feet in the air when I realized that we could use the Hot Apple Cider K-Cup Pods to recreate candied apples in a cup! Mix in a K-Cup Pod of Chai Black Tea for a sophisticated spin on this childhood sweet treat. Mom will love this taste of nostalgia and won’t even have to worry about getting all that sticky caramel goop stuck out from between her teeth.

What You Need

Brew both K-Cup Pods as directed and mix equal parts. Garnish with whip cream, caramel syrup, and butterscotch chips.
