Ready or not, the holiday season has officially arrived! Get a leg up on the elves this year with Zazzle, an online marketplace where you can make everything from personalized holiday cards to custom skateboards in minutes flat.
I’m always on the hunt for new tools to make life a little easier. Let’s face it—with five kids in the house, things can get a bit stressful this time of year. I’ve tried countless online services for making holiday cards in past, but after just a few minutes of using Zazzle I was hooked.
Besides having a surprisingly good selection of cards to choose from, the personalization tools are simple, intuitive, and actually fun to use. At one point, even my 3-year-old, Noah, started chiming in about wanting to make cards (the result: the card pictured above with his happy little mug on the front).
My older kids have gotten into skateboarding this year, so we were totally pumped to discover the custom skateboards on the site. Back in the day, you had to have serious skills before you got your own custom deck. Even better, they have all the gear to fully outfit the skaters in the family as if they had turned pro. How cool is that?!
The kids had a blast using the site to create their own “DIY Instant Skate Shops” (Murphy, my 9-year-old, put together the collection pictured above). It’s amazing how quickly you can put everything together, and with just a few extra clicks you can launch your own online shop and unleash your new brand on the world at large.
The customization tool is fun & easy to use, allowing you to add multiple images, layer text, and tweak them until you get everything just the way you want it. We made several blank design templates and put them in a shop for our kids to use to make their own. Feel free to drop by the shop and use them as well! I’m sure you’ll find new decks that the kids designed popping up every now and then:)
