Rainbow Easter Egg Place Settings

We’ve got one last Easter DIY project for you before the weekend: these rainbow-hued Easter place settings! We fell in love with this beautiful rainbow Easter egg wreath that Brittany made on The House That Lars Built and when sorting through some Easter chocolate this year, it occurred to us that it would be so easy to make a miniature, edible version with jelly beans and chocolate eggs!

To get a really colorful rainbow with a variety of shapes and sizes, it helps to use chocolates and jelly beans from different brands so that the colors are all slightly different. Keep reading for the full instructions below!

Step 1
Start by setting paper onto your baking sheet. Find a circle-shaped object that you like the size of (we used a jar lid) and trace a few onto the paper leaving space between them. Cover the paper with wax paper.

In the microwave, melt white chocolate (we used a funfetti chocolate bar) 30 seconds at a time on a low-medium heat setting, stirring in between, until melted. Use a spoon to carefully distribute the melted white chocolate onto the circle you just drew, only doing this on one circle for now.

Step 2
Begin by arranging a few red candies on the melted chocolate. Depending on what varieties you have, you an use multiple of the same kind or mix it up.

Step 3
Continue adding candy on to follow the colors of the rainbow – orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple. The purple should meet up with where the red candies began. It may take a couple tries to figure out exactly how much space you should leave for each color, so don’t worry if you don’t quite perfect it the first wreath.

Step 4
Repeat this until you have as many mini wreaths as you need. Let harden.

Carefully arrange the candy wreaths on the plates, or set aside for dessert. If your layer of chocolate was on the thin side, these wreaths can be delicate.
