Candy Daffodil Cupcakes

Three cheers for spring! Now that it’s May, we’re so happy to embrace all the flowers that came out of the April showers. We used a few different types of candy to form these quick and easy daffodil cupcakes!

These cupcakes make the perfect bouquet for Mother’s Day, don’t you think? Add even more color to your cupcake bouquet with this sweet tutorial from our friend Jodi Levine. We’re sure your mom will thank you!

what you need:

  • Cupcakes
  • Green icing
  • Airhead candy (yellow and white)
  • Citrus slice candies (yellow and orange)
  • Scissors

how-to:

Step 1
Use scissors to cut airheads into petal shapes. Each flower needs six petals. For the yellow petals, you want an orange center, and for the white petals, you want a yellow center.

Step 2
Ice your baked cupcakes with green frosting and arrange the six petals evenly. Place two citrus slice candies on top to form the center. Voila!

Note: For the paler yellow petals, we used banana marshmallow candies – just use a rolling pin to flatten them out and then cut the end off if they’re too long to fit on the cupcake.
