Lava-ble Valentine Volcano Dessert

Volcano Valentine's Ice Cream Dessert
No one enjoys a good food pun more than me. And Valentine’s Day is my favorite funny, punny holiday. There’s just so many clever ways to say “I love you.” Or in this case, “I lava you.” Serve up a silly, chilly, ice cream volcano dessert that’s erupting with sweet sentiment. Kids and kids-at-heart alike will get a thrill from this pyroclastic pun-on-a-plate.

Other possible volcanic wordplays that are sure to get a smile:
I lava you so much.
My love for you overflows.
You’re hot.
Nice ash!

Just a side note: I was impatient, wanting to assemble my volcanoes before they were completely frozen. For best results, allow 24 hours in the freezer.

Step 4
Meanwhile, place a sheet of parchment paper on a baking sheet and squirt dollops of whipped cream to make the volcano ash clouds. Keep these in the freezer until you are ready to assemble the volcanoes.

Step 5
To make the lava, melt the red and yellow candy melt wafers in separate microwave-safe dishes. Heat for 30-second intervals, and stir until smooth. Pour into plastic squeeze bottles. Remove the ice cream volcanoes from the freezer and pour red & yellow candy melt over the tops, creating the desired lava effect.
